The Washtucna School District is offering

free breakfast and lunch

to all children 18 years and under on:

June 29-July 3

July 6-July 10

Breakfast will be served from 8:15am-8:30am.

Lunch will be served from 11am-11:30am.

Both meals will be served in the school cafeteria.

The mission of the Washtucna School District, with the involvement of parents and community members, shall be to provide opportunities for all students to develop the knowledge and skills essential to be productive citizens.  The Washtucna School District will develop programs, provide staff in-service and develop instruction strategies to allow students to become responsible citizens.  Instructional strategies will contribute to the student’s own economic well being and to that of their families and communities.   Washtucna students will develop self-worth to enjoy productive and satisfying lives.
Philosophy
The Washtucna School District will develop programs, provide class offerings,

provide teacher in-service and develop instructional strategies to allow the students to become responsible citizens.  Instructional strategies will contribute to the student’s economic well being and to that of their families and communities. 

The student’s self-esteem will be enhanced to enjoy a productive and satisfying life. 

To these ends, the goals of Washtucna School District, with the involvement of parents and community members, shall be to provide opportunities for all students to develop knowledge and skills essential to:

Goal 1               Read with comprehension, write with skill, and communicate effectively and responsibly in a variety of ways and settings.

Goal 2               Know and apply the core concepts and principles of mathematics; social, physical, and life sciences; civics and history; geography; arts; and health and physical fitness.

Goal 3               Think analytically, logically, creatively, and to integrate experience and knowledge to form reasoned judgments and solve problems.

Goal 4               Understand the importance of work and how performance, effort and decisions affect future career and educational opportunities.
